WILLIAM Edward TOMPKINS

William Edward Tompkins, age 91, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022 peacefully in his sleep. He loved sports, watching football and he played basketball in high school. He enjoyed going to his church First Christian Church in Etowah. He was also a veteran of the Navy Guards. 

William was preceded in death by his two former wives, two brothers and step-son John Varner.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Hicks Tompkins; son, Billy (Katie) Tompkins of Mingo Junction, OH.

Family will be receiving friends Friday, December 16, 2022 in the Chapel at Serenity of Etowah from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. with funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with interment immediately following at Meadow Fork Baptist Church Cemetery in Calhoun, TN with Louis Rouse and Eric Peters officiating.
